Born in Bruce County, Ontario on 30 October 1875, he worked as a building contractor in Winnipeg. He was married twice, first on 28 May 1903 to Maude Macdonald (c1884-1904). On 14 June 1906, he married Beatrice Alberta Lorne Louden (1882-1947) and they had three children: Gwendoline Falconer (1907-1993, wife of Leslie Frederick Dowe), Foster Dean Falconer (1909-?), and Beatrice Victoria Falconer (1911-?, wife of W. R. Jackson). He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 24 October 1944 and was buried in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. At the time of his death, he was living at Hilbre.
