Memorable Manitobans: Clifford Brian “Clif” Evans (1948-2022)

Municipal official, MLA (1990-1995), MLA (1995-1999).

Born on 16 May 1948, son of John Evans and Alice Osadchuck, he was elected Mayor of Riverton in the 1989 municipal elections, replacing Victor Sigurdson, and served from October 1989 to December 1990. In the 1990 provincial general election, he was elected to the Manitoba Legislature representing the Interlake constituency, replacing William Uruski, and was re-elected in 1995. He was not a candidate in the 1999 general election. He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 6 May 2022.
