Broadcaster.
Born at Winnipeg on 10 August 1906, son of Alyn Edwards and Annie Brown Telfer, he was raised in Saskatchewan. In 1944, he became the manager of Press News Limited, established in 1941, after working in Canadian Press bureaus across Canada.
He was the first General Manager of Broadcast News Limited, the broadcast arm of The Canadian Press, and was influential in building the Toronto-based Broadcast News, a national news network, from 1954 to retirement in 1971.
