Railway agent.
Born at Carleton-Cleveland, Yorkshire in 1867, son of Joseph Bush and Sarah Jane Kelson, he was educated in England and Winnipeg. After leaving school, in 1882 he entered the employ of the Canadian Pacific Railway at Winnipeg, working initially in the Stores Department and afterward with the General Superintendent’s Department. He was a railway operator at Gretna in 1890, and agent at Clearwater from 1891 to 1900 and at Arcola, Saskatchewan from 1900 to 1906. He was Travelling Passenger Agent and Relieving Agent until 1910 when he came to Boissevain, Manitoba as agent.
On 27 July 1891, he married Elizabeth Law in the RM of Louise. They had four sons and one daughter. He was a member of the Masons and the Order of Railway Telegraphers.
