Business manager.
Born at Greenroad, Cumberland County, England on 6 November 1882, son of George Baines and Elizabeth Eleanor Kendall, he was educated at St. Helen’s Lancashire, England. Coming to Canada, he worked as a manager with Pilkington Brothers (Canada) Limited.
On 20 September 1915, he married Doris Helen Addyman (?-?) and they had four daughters. The family lived at 833 Dorchester Avenue, Winnipeg. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, AF & AM (Assiniboine Lodge, 114), and Anglican church. His recreations included lawn bowling and motoring.
He died at the Victoria Hospital on 14 April 1926 and was buried in the St. John's Cathedral Cemetery.
