Manitoba Business: Marlborough Development Corporation

This Winnipeg-based firm was founded in 1962 by Martin Bergen (President) and Jacob “Jake” Letkemann (Vice President). It was responsible for the construction of numerous multi-storey apartment blocks around the city through the 1960s and 1970s before Letkemann departed in 1974. Bergen continued in business until 1988 although Edison Properties, a related property management company that he established with his wife, remains in operation.
