The Manitoba Historical Society invites you to its 2013 Multicultural Dinner featuring the Filipino community in Manitoba.

This year, the MHS Multicultural Dinner will feature Manitoba’s Filipino community. The event will be held at the Philippine Canadian Centre of Manitoba (PCCM) located at 737 Keewatin Street, near the intersection of Keewatin and Burrows. Parking is available at the back of the PCCM. The building is wheelchair-accessible.

Doors open at 7:00 PM and dinner will be served at 7:30 sharp. During and after dinner, there will be performances by members of  the community. The guest speaker will be Levy Abad, singer, songwriter and migrant activist. His topic is “Understanding Filipinos in Manitoba.”

Enjoy authentic Filipino dishes including Pancit (rice noodles with chicken), Adobo (slow-cooked meat), Chopsuey (vegetables), Sinigang Soup, Turon (banana fritter), Lumpia (egg rolls), Maja, Buko Pandan, Leche Flan and more.

Cost per person is $20.00 including taxes for MHS members, and $22.00 including taxes for non-MHS members.

The office is open Wednesday to Friday 11:00 to 3:30. Leave a message if there is no answer, and your call will be returned. Tickets will NOT be available at the door.
