Adele is Distinguished Professor in History and Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Manitoba, where she is also Director of the Centre for Human Rights Research (CHRR.info). She is past-president of the Canadian Historical Association, and the author a number of works on histories of colonialism, gender, and nineteenth and twentieth-century Canada, including Aqueduct: Colonialism, Resources, and the Histories We Remember (Winnipeg, ARP, 2016).
