Christy is the University Archivist at the S. J. McKee Archives at Brandon University. In this role she is responsible for the administration, acquisition, appraisal, description, preservation of, and access to, records held in the McKee Archives. She also manages the university's art collection and teaches in BU's Public History program.
She obtained her BA (Specialist) from Brandon University and her MA from the Archival Studies program at the University of Manitoba. She has previously done work at the University of Calgary Archives, the Law Society of Alberta Archives, and the City of Winnipeg Archives. She is a past Chair of the Association for Manitoba Archives (AMA) Board of Directors and the AMA's Rural and Northern Archives Manitoba special interest group.
