Historic Sites of Manitoba: York Factory Cemetery (Hayes River, Northern Manitoba)

There were at least 161 burials in this cemetery near the former York Factory fur trading post, the earliest being the grave of Chief Factor William Sinclair dating from 1818. The most recent is a grave for Albert Arthur Saunders, from 1933, with a marker inscribed entirely in Cree.
