Historic Sites of Manitoba: Wheels of Agriculture Monument (Killarney, RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain)

Located along Broadway Avenue in Killarney, this monument was designed by sculptor Don Engbrecht and erected in tribute to the past, present, and future of agriculture. The large wheel at the base represents the breaking of virgin prairie soil. The medium wheel in the middle represents the four seasons of the year and the small upper wheel represents the family farm. The auger represents the grain that feeds livestock and humanity.
