Historic Sites of Manitoba: Wener House (142 Machray Avenue, Winnipeg)

This 1½-storey wood frame and stucco, Arts and Craft-style house on Machray Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 24 feet by 36 feet, and 12 feet by 28 feet, was built between 1927 and 1928 by contractor Harry Pearlman at a cost of about $6,000, for owner Samuel Wener (1896-1967). He was a cattle buyer and dealer.

At the time of a 2026 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
