Historic Sites of Manitoba: Sacred Heart Catholic Church (481 Queen Street West, Virden)

The cornerstone of this Roman Catholic church on Queen Street West in Virden was laid in May 1957 and it opened officially at a service on 17 November 1957 attended by Archbishop Philip Francis Pocock. It replaced an earlier building from 1921. The Parish was established in 1931.
