Historic Sites of Manitoba: Sumarbustadur Cottage (17 North Lake Street, Gimli, RM of Gimli)

Built in Gimli around 1918, the name “Sumarbustadur” means summer house in Icelandic. The original owner was Ronald Eyolfson. The cottage is known for its highly unusual and distinctive roof shape, a feature that is unique in the Loni Beach and Gimli area.
