Historic Sites of Manitoba: St. Nicholas Cemetery (RM of Armstrong)

This small cemetery in the Rural Municipality of Armstrong contains a white metal cross and two visible graves. Anastasia “Nellie” Dowhan (10 April 1914 - 22 October 2013) was born at Pleasant Home and lived at Komarno until 2004 when she moved to Gimli. Nellie married her first husband, John Sidleski from Komarno, in 1936; he died in 1945). She married her second husband John Kusnick [Kuzniak] (20 August 1906 - 25 June 1985) in September 1949. He was born at Rembrandt, son of Ntoki “Nicoli” Kusniak and Sophia Woroch.
