This Ukrainian Catholic church at Shoal Lake, in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead, was built by Stefan Borody between 1943 and 1945, replacing an earlier church bought in 1918 from an Anglican congregation and modified to meet the requirements of the Byzantine rite. Artwork in the church was done by Yakiv Majdanyk. A nearby rectory dates from 1963 and the parish hall was built in 1939.
