The first Ukrainian Catholic church at this site in the Rural Municipality of Fisher was constructed in 1934, on two acres of land donated by local farmer Alex Duda. It was destroyed by fire two years later and was rebuilt in 1937. Its associated cemetery is situated about two miles to the northeast.
