Historic Sites of Manitoba: Stewart House (255 Inkster Boulevard, Winnipeg)

This 2½-storey wood frame, American Foursquare-style house is on Inkster Boulevard in Winnipeg. Measuring 20 feet by 30 feet, and 10 feet by 10 feet, was built in 1911 by day labour at a cost of about $3,000, for owner Herbert A. Walley. He sold it to Daniel M. Stewart, an insurance agent at the Western Life Assurance Company.

At the time of a 2026 site visit, the house was slightly modified from its original appearance. The exterior was covered with stucco and it has been converted into a duplex.
