This 1½-storey wood frame house on Alfred Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 20 feet by 36 feet, was designed by local architect Max Zev Blankstein and built in 1911 by owner/painter Maurice Selber (?-?) at a cost of about $1,200. He sold it to painter Moses Silver (?-?). At the time of a 2024 site visit, the house appeared to be relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
