Historic Sites of Manitoba: Sherwood School (509 Grey Street, Winnipeg)

Built in 1957 at a cost of $120,000, this eight-room facility hosted elementary grades. It was officially opened on 27 September 1957 by members of the East Kildonan School Board and Principal Anna Mima McIntyre. Renovations were undertaken in 1978 under designs of the Winnipeg firm of Macdonald, Cockburn, McFeetors Architects.
