Formerly located on Selkirk Avenue in Winnipeg, a one-storey cream brick and terracotta trimmed, Spanish Colonial Revival-style building, measuring 33 feet by 80 feet, was designed by the architectural firm of Northwood and Chivers. It was built in 1929 by construction firm of Fraser and MacDonald at a cost of about $13,000, for Safeway Stores Limited. It was used as a grocery store and officially opened on 30 November 1929.
Occupied by Safeway until the earlier 1940s, at the time of a 2023 site visit, the building has been demolished and the site was a vacant lot.
