Historic Sites of Manitoba: Royal Alexandra Hotel Shard (Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg)

Located in the English Garden in Assiniboine Park, this large carved stone piece once graced the Canadian Pacific Railway’s luxurious Royal Alexandra Hotel, operating at the corner of Higgins Avenue and Main Street from 1906 to 1971. This shard was placed in the Garden in 1990.
