Historic Sites of Manitoba: Robbins Grocery (2590 Elgin Avenue West, Winnipeg)

This one-storey wood frame building at the northeast corner of Elgin Avenue West and Cecil Street in Winnipeg, measuring 50 feet by 50 feet, was designed by local architect Max Zev Blankstein and built in 1911 by contractor Rudalph Buchler for grocer Aaron Robbins at a cost of about $3,000. It has been used as a neighbourhood grocery store with a residence in the rear.
