Historic Sites of Manitoba: Ridgeville General Store (Ridgeville, Municipality of Emerson-Franklin)

The first general store at Ridgeville, in what is now the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin, was constructed in 1903 by Roy Whitman. It went through a series of changes in ownership and was eventually sold to John Dolynchuk in 1943. In 1944, the building was destroyed by fire. The next year a completely new modern structure was built. It was purchased by John Tanchak in 1946.
