Historic Sites of Manitoba: Reinfeld CMC Cemetery (RM of Hanover)

When Mennonites settled the East Reserve in what is now the Rural Municipality of Hanover, farms were set up in small villages with communally-owned pasturelands and individually owned fields arranged in long narrow farmsteads. The village of Reinfeld was established in 1875. The Reinfeld cemetery is found in a field, unkept and surrounded by wooden fence poles. No gravestones were found during a 2020 site visit.
