Historic Sites of Manitoba: Poppy Coin Monument (Portage Avenue, Winnipeg)
A monument was erected in Vimy Ridge Memorial Park on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg to commemorate the striking of the World’s first coloured circulation coin in November 2004, created to honour Canada’s soldiers. It was not present at the time of a 2023 site visit.
