Historic Sites of Manitoba: Point Douglas Well Plaque (Euclid Avenue, Winnipeg)

Point Douglas was Winnipeg’s earliest and foremost residential area. This is the site of the first well which provided drinking water for the settlers in the Point Douglas area from the early 1850s until the coming of the city waterworks by 1882. This plaque is located in Joe Zuken Park, Euclid Avenue at Meade Street North.
