Historic Sites of Manitoba: Pittet Memorial Monument (Somerset, Municipality of Lorne)

This monument stands at Somerset next to a Silver Maple tree planted on 20 April 2000. They commemorate local teacher Marina Pittet (1947-2000) who died from a brain tumour. Over a 30-year teaching career, she inspired generations of students.
