Historic Sites of Manitoba: Pharoah Apartments / Simcoe Apartments (652 Simcoe Street, Winnipeg)

This two-storey brick block on Simcoe Street in Winnipeg, measuring 88 feet by 27 feet, was designed and built in 1913 by contractor Haldor Haldorson at a cost of about $35,000. The building contained 11 apartments in its original configuration but contains 12 apartments today. Known initially as Pharoah Apartments, it was later renamed Simcoe Apartments.
