Historic Sites of Manitoba: Nyland School No. 1525 (Municipality of West Interlake)

The Nyland School District was established formally in April 1910 and a one-room schoolhouse operated at SW30-22-5W in what is now the Municipality of West Interlake. In 1967, the district was dissolved and its catchment area became part of the Lakeshore School Division.

Among the teachers of Nyland School were K. G. Connelly (1912-1913), Emma J. E. Sigurdson (1913, 1920-1921), Thorbjorg S. Kernisted (1914), Bertha D. Norris (1915-1916), B. S. Smith (1916), Nora M.
