The United Church in Neelin, in the Rural Municipality of Argyle, was built in 1936 on land donated by Mr. W. Henwood. The 32-foot by 34-foot frame structure, with a full basement, was constructed by volunteer labour supervised by carpenter F. Atterbury. It was used temporarily as a school when, in 1950, the Neelin School building was destroyed by fire. Attendance declined through the 1970s and the final service was held in December 1978. The building remains in use for community functions.
