Historic Sites of Manitoba: Minore School No. 1191 (RM of Prairie Lakes)

The Minore School District was established formally in May 1902 and a school building was later erected on the northwest quarter of 34-5-17 west of the Principal Meridian in the Rural Municipality of Riverside. The school closed in 1952 and its district was dissolved in 1966. The remaining students went to Dunrea Consolidated School No. 147 or Ninette School No. 1028. The school building is no longer present at the site but a stone monument commemorates it.
