Historic Sites of Manitoba: Lennon and Shea Block (256-262 Main Street, Winnipeg)

Formerly located on Main Street in Winnipeg, this one-storey brick building, measuring 75 feet by 75.3 feet, was designed by local architect Edmund Walter Crayston and built in 1911 by contractors Alfred Blow (?-?) and Edgar J. Blow (?-?) for owners ? Lennon and ? Shea at a cost of about $11,000. In its original configuration, the building contained four retail spaces.

In 1999, the building was demolished to make way for a new hotel.
