This 1½-storey light red brick and Tyndall stone trimmed house on Lelia Avenue in West Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), measuring 26 feet by 26 feet, was built in 1928 by owner/carpenter James Kettles (1880-1960).
At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
