Historic Sites of Manitoba: Hotel Cambrian (Sherridon, Northern Manitoba)

Built in 1934, this historic four-storey hotel building at Sherridon was left behind when the rest of the buildings were moved to Lynn Lake in the 1950s. By the time it closed in the early 2000s, it was a summer-only operation. The building fell into disrepair after its last owner, Walter Shmon, died in 2009, and the building was destroyed by an arson fire on 2 June 2012.
