Historic Sites of Manitoba: Hochstadt South Cemetery (RM of Hanover)

When Mennonites settled the East Reserve in what is now the Rural Municipality of Hanover, farms were set up in small villages with communally-owned fields and pasturelands arranged in long narrow farmsteads. The result was a large number of towns with graveyards. This cemetery was a graveyard for one of these towns, Hochstadt. It has no distinct headstones in a 30-foot by 30-foot fenced area.
