Historic Sites of Manitoba: Hiatus Port Cottage (169 Community Road, Matlock, Dunnottar)

This large and impressive wood-frame cottage in Dunnottar was constructed around 1902. The wrap-around verandah has a buffalo-board ceiling, paneled wainscoting, and French doors leading to the paneled common room that has a cathedral ceiling. The old fireplace was replaced with a new one, an addition was done prior to 1984 and a foundation was put in around 1988.
