Historic Sites of Manitoba: Canadian Pacific Railway Bridge (Assiniboine River, RM of Headingley)

A steel through truss bridge across the Assiniboine River, on the CPR Glenboro Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Headingley, was originally constructed in 1882 for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company. It was designed to pivot in the centre to permit the passage of ships on the river. The bridge is still used by the railway but it has had some superstructural changes.
