Historic Sites of Manitoba: Halley’s Comet Cairn (Sandy Lake, Municipality of Harrison Park)

A fieldstone monument at Sandy Lake in the Municipality of Harrison Park was erected in 1986 by the students and staff of Sandy Lake School, with instructions to open it on the return of Halley’s Comet in 2062. Since then, the school closed and was converted into a motel, campground, and laundromat.
