This monument in the Municipality of Souris-Glenwood marks the former site of Forbes Methodist Church, which opened here in 1908. In the 1920s, when the Methodists united with the Congregationalists and Presbyterians, it became Forbes United Church. It closed in 1960. The church building is no longer present at the site.
