Historic Sites of Manitoba: Security Grain Elevator / Northern Grain Elevator / National Grain Elevator / Cargill Grain Elevator (Firdale, Municipality of North Cypress-Langford)A wooden grain elevator at Firdale, on the CNR Rivers Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of North Cypress-Langford, was built around 1912 by the Security Elevator Company. Sold to the Northern Elevator Company in 1929, it passed via corporate mergers to National Grain (1940) and Cargill (1975). Closed around 1982, the elevator was later removed from the site.
