Historic Sites of Manitoba: Fairbank School No. 522 (Municipality of Oakland-Wawanesa)The Fairbank School District was organized formally in January 1888 and a one-room schoolhouse operated at SE1-8-17W in what is now the Municipality of Oakland-Wawanesa. The district was dissolved in 1948 and no vestige of the school building remains at the site.
