Historic Sites of Manitoba: Canadian National Railway Bridge (Deerwood, RM of Thompson)

A wooden trestle bridge on the CNR Miami Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Thompson was used around 1997 for filming a television commercial for the Saturn automobile company. The bridge was abandoned when the railway line was discontinued in 2006. The steel tracks were removed in 2007. The trestle is now used by snowmobilers during the winter and all-terrain-vehicles in the summer.
