Historic Sites of Manitoba: Davidson Building (109 Main Street, Carberry)

This building along Carberry’s historic Main Street, is one of its oldest and largest commercial landmarks, and a municipally-designated heritage site (2007). Constructed around 1885, the two-storey brick structure is attached to a one-storey former garage and movie theatre. Among its occupants through the years have been merchants, implement dealers, butchers, rental meat lockers, a Second World War service club for personnel stationed at a nearby flying school and, most recently, a grocery store.
