Historic Sites of Manitoba: Danchuk House (119 Smithfield Avenue, Winnipeg)

This 1½-storey brown brick and stucco, Arts and Crafts-style house on Smithfield Avenue in West Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), measuring 30 feet by 38 feet, was built between 1929 and 1930 at a cost of about $4,000, for owner Steve Danchuk (1889-1971). He was an employee at the Winnipeg Electric Company.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
