Historic Sites of Manitoba: McLennan School / Cracknell School No. 2042 (RM of Riding Mountain West)

Known original as McLennan School District when it was organized in May 1920, it was renamed Cracknell School District at some time. A school building operated on the southwest quarter of 1-22-27 west of the Principal Meridian in what is now the Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West. It closed in 1967. The building is no longer at the site but a monument commemorates it.

Among the teachers of Cracknell School was John Stolarchuk (1957-1958).
