Historic Sites of Manitoba: College Apartments (359-361 College Avenue, Winnipeg)

This small two-storey, brick block on College Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 24 feet by 40 feet, was designed by local architect Peter Cornelius Samwell and built in 1914 for owner G. W. Van Der Horst. Originally intended as a warehouse and single-family residence, in 1918 the building was converted by contractor O. Mayfield into four residential apartments.
