This two-storey brick building on Selkirk Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 26 feet by 30 feet, was designed by local architect Max Zev Blankstein and built in 1910 by day labour for owner Harris “Harry” City at a cost of about $4,000. In its original configuration, the building contained two retail spaces on the main floor and a single residential apartment on the second floor.
Sometime after 1956, an addition was made to the rear of the building along with a new front facade. At the time of a 2024 site visit, the building had been extensively renovated and was unrecognizable from its original appearance.
