This 2½-storey wood frame and wood plank siding, Vernacular American Foursquare-style house is on St. John’s Avenue in Winnipeg. Measuring 22 feet by 38 feet, and 9 feet by 10 feet, it was built in 1912 at a cost of about $3,200, for owner George Chapman (1880-1940). He was a tinsmith at Chapman Tinsmiths.
At the time of a 2020 site visit, the house was slightly modified from its original appearance with most of the original wood plank siding replaced with stucco.
