Historic Sites of Manitoba: St. John’s Anglican Church / Grace-St. John’s Anglican and Lutheran Church (80 Second Avenue Southwest, Carman)

This church at the northwest corner of the intersection of Second Avenue Southwest and Second Street Southwest in Carman was constructed between 1964 and 1965 for use by the congregation of St. John’s Anglican Church, replacing an earlier structure at the site. The first service occurred on 14 March 1965. Later, it was joined by the congregation of Grace Lutheran Church and the name became a blending of both groups. Inside the church were honour rolls for Anglican parishioners killed during military service in the First World War and Second World War.

The building was destroyed by arson fire on 13 March 2025.
